We really enjoyed our time with three month old baby girl Jaleesa last week. She was such a joy to work with and I believe she really enjoyed having her portraits made. She was not fussy and I truly felt she loved every moment of dress up in our studio.
We started her out in the dress her mother brought for her formal portrait. I love the vibrancy of this pink, and the pink headband and sweet lace socks just really finished off the sweet look nicely.
We used a newborn bean bag poser to do the first series of photographs. Then we brought over a grey couch because she was ready to sit up for a few images. At three months, we still need to keep an eye on the baby for stability and sitting up for more than a few minutes at a time. For this session, Mom was right there off the side of her to keep a close eye on her. She did fantastic and sat up beautifully the entire time.
When then changed her into one of our baby prop outfits, the leopard hat with flower and the pink tutu. The tutu was a little large but we adjusted it when we placed her on the posing bag. She preferred to lay on her tummy and was strong enough to push herself up, so this turned out to be quite a great pose for her in this outfit.
Our last outfit for the 30 minute session, was a matching pink knit hat and diaper cover that is from our studio prop collection. I wanted to really show off her hands and feet and by lying her on her back, we were able to keep her comfortable and create fun poses with this cute look.
She was a very well behaved sweet little girl. We hope her family treasures the images they chose and we look forward to seeing Jaleesa again as she continues to grow and change!
