My How Time Flies

I was honored to be able to photograph this young lady when she was 9 years old in 2014. The session was held at Oakland Lake Park in Fort Worth, Texas.

This Spring, I had the opportunity to photograph her again, this time at Grapevine Botanical Gardens, and it has really given me pause to examine how much children change and grow over the course of just a few years, four years to be exact in this case.

When asked how often a parent needs to have their child’s professional portraits made, I would of course reply yearly. Its fun to have a yearly collection of images of your children to see all their many changes and growth (teeth losses and new braces) and to have a record of each amazing year. But if one cannot come in regularly I would then suggest these important times to consider having a portrait made of your child: Newborn, Three years, Five years, 9-10 years, 13 years, 16 years and of course 18.

Of course there are no real rules. Everyone usually has a special time or a special idea in mind when they do reach out to us. Its just important to remember to have professional portraits made on a regular basis, and to choose portaits that will be printed on professional paper, that will last for generations to come. We hope you consider making us your regular photographer, to be your family’s record keeper and memory maker for many years to come.

We hope you enjoy this special blog dedicated to this sweet young lady whom we have had the pleasure to know so many years.
