One of the most beautiful things about being a professional photographer is meeting so many wonderful people and being blessed with the opportunity to meet with them, learn their stories and create a photographic story that will last a liftetime.
Such was the case with this surrogacy maternity session we had this past Spring. This couple was flying in from Philadelphia for a sonogram with the gestational carrier, who lives here in Fort Worth. The couple and the carrier had met before and were very connected and close before our session. It was a beautiful experience for Xavier and I.
We definitely allowed the couple to share with us what their hopes for the session would include. The carrier still had about 4 1/2 months until the baby was to be born, so she wasn’t as large as we normally do maternity sessions, but the couple would not be back to visit until the baby’s birth in August. It turned out perfectly and we were able to focus on their connection, their relationship, and what beautiful excitement was to come.
The couple brought the signs to be used as props, and did a wonderful job planning everyones outfits. They did 2 changes of clothing to encompass both a classic “formal” style of session, and then they changed into jeans and white shirts for also a casual style. The couple asked for images that both showed the carriers face, and also wanted some images to just focus on them with just the carriers belly. I believe this is a nice mix for the baby’s album.
This Surrogacy Maternity Session was done in Trinity Park Fort Worth. It was a beautiful Spring day and the grass and trees were just gorgeous in their full green colors.
